"GDP per capita – the value produced, on average, by each inhabitant – is a fundamental indicator of a country's economic performance. In 2022, in Portugal, it will have been 23,530 euros. Among the 27 members of the European Union, only eight produced less: Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Greece, Slovakia and Latvia. Except for Greece, all victims of communist delirium. Ten years ago, in 2012, there were ten countries behind us. In 1995, an earlier date to find data in Eurostat, twelve countries were behind us. We are falling behind."
