The MSc in Auditing and Taxation is an innovative programme that combines robust academic preparation with learning in a real business context. The programme begins with main courses focused on Accounting, Law and Finance issues. During the second semester, students are allocated to an audit firm - KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, BDO, Crowe Horwath, Baker Tilly or Grant Thornton - to focus their attention on actual problems and alternative solutions. During this second term, students are fully integrated into the work of the audit firm’s team. During the third term, students return to the University to attend several courses in specific subjects. The fourth and last term is dedicated to the Master's final report.
This MSc is designed for recently graduated students that are looking for an opportunity to enrich their portfolio of skills and knowledge in Auditing and Taxation in order to gain a decisive advantage in the job market.
The MSc in Auditing and Taxation, by incorporating a strong component of training in a real work environment, provides students with a high level of professionalism and guides them directly to the job market. Consequently, career opportunities initially tend to come from the audit firms where the training component took place. However, given the technical and professional skills developed in either the academic or the work environment, the latter in companies highly-regarded for their strong training component, the MSc in Auditing and Taxation is an excellent step towards entering the business world
