The Business School of the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali in Rome once again welcomed the Executive MBA students of Católica Porto Business School (CPBS) for the 2023 edition of MBA International Week - "Made in Italy". With a focus on luxury brands, this year's 'case study' was about Ferragamo, one of the most important Italian companies with enormous worldwide recognition.
The event, which is part of the Executive MBA programme every year, aims to bring together students of different nationalities, preparing them to work in an increasingly globalised market. The 40 students present had the opportunity to develop solutions and ideas about the Italian brand and present them to the director of Ferragamo.
Being able to work with a luxury brand like Ferragamo becomes relevant due to the brand's international presence. Founded by Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence in 1927 as a result of his previous experience in the United States, the brand now has around 450 locations worldwide and specialises in the design and manufacture of footwear (precisely the area in which Salvatore Ferragamo began his activity) and leather goods.
After working with brands such as Benetton, Prada, Yoox Net-a-Porter, Lamborghini, Scuderie del Quirinale and Valentino in the first six editions, students on the next edition of the CPBS Executive MBA will have the opportunity to work with another luxury brand in 2024, taking part in management-orientated activities including guest workshops, teamwork and study visits.
The 19th edition of the Executive MBA will start in October, but applications are still open. Find out more about the programme and apply here.
