Católica Porto Business School and the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), recognised as the best management school in India by the Financial Times Master’s in Management (FT MiM) ranking, have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed on 30 October by the dean of SPJIMR, Varun Nagaraj, and the dean of Católica Porto Business School, João Pinto.
The memorandum establishes collaboration regarding student and teacher mobility, the sharing of teaching and learning methodologies and the development of joint research programmes and projects. The five-year partnership provides for mobility programmes starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, including a short-term exchange agreement for master and MBA students.
The signing occurred during Varun Nagaraj‘s presence in Porto, where he was a keynote speaker at the 4th INSURE.Hub International Conference. INSURE.Hub and SPJIMR's WISE Tech (WISE Innovation Studio for Emerging Technologies) will also collaborate with a common goal of responsible innovation and technology.
For Cosme Almeida, Abroad Programmes Director at Católica Porto Business School, "It was a great pleasure to welcome and meet Professor Varun Nagaraj, to witness his brilliant speech at the INSURE.Hub conference, and to see the synergies between INSURE.hub in even greater depth and SPJIMR's Wise Tech projects. I'm convinced that they've only just ‘met’ but that they were destined for this moment. We're certain that the projects we plan to launch soon are the embodiment of an alliance that began to take shape in Africa and unites universities in Europe and India, but whose natural space will have a global impact. It's an alliance between two schools that share values and ambitions that will form the basis of a collaboration that I predict will have a great impact".
This partnership represents an important step towards strengthening relations between the Católica Porto Business School and SPJIMR, promoting new opportunities for learning and innovation.
