Católica Porto Business School and the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), part of the University of Pretoria (South Africa), have signed a strategic partnership protocol in the field of executive education.
The partnership covers the executive education of both schools, which are part of the exclusive group of business schools with triple accreditation (less than 1% of schools worldwide are accredited by EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB). GIBS is one of the few institutions in Africa to have achieved this status, demonstrating its excellence in teaching and commitment to high standards.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the programme offering by combining the excellence and resources of both institutions. The partnership will focus on knowledge exchange, the development of joint programmes, networking opportunities for executives, research, and consultancy across both continents.
João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This agreement not only strengthens our international standing but also reflects our global mindset and the privilege we have in working on joint projects in Africa."
“One of the main goals of Católica Porto Business School is to offer our students and corporate partners a rich, multicultural, and diverse experience, rooted in schools that share common values," added João Pinto, highlighting the key objectives behind the agreement.
Católica Porto Business School’s connection to Africa is not new. The School is also a member of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) and has a strong relationship with Angola through the International Degree in Management, which links three Portuguese-speaking countries: Angola, Portugal, and Brazil.
