The Católica Porto Business School's Consulting Unit in Management and Applied Economics (CEGEA) partnered with the Portuguese Plastics Industry Association (APIP) and published the economic bulletin for the first half of 2024, offering a comprehensive analysis of the performance of Portugal's plastics sector.
Prepared by CEGEA, the bulletin combines the results of a survey of companies in the sector with statistical data on industrial developments and foreign trade. The document shows that Portuguese exports of plastics and plastic articles totalled 1.9 billion euros, up 11.4% on the previous six-month period.
The collaboration between CEGEA and APIP reflects the importance of providing the sector with robust analysis tools to support strategic decisions. CEGEA director Vasco Rodrigues emphasises that "access to reliable and relevant information is essential to support strategic decisions in the plastics sector. This bulletin demonstrates CEGEA's role in transforming data into useful knowledge, contributing to the competitiveness of companies".
The bulletin is available for consultation here.
