The Consulting Unit in Management and Applied Economics (CEGEA) of Católica Porto Business School attended the European Funds Exhibition (Mostra dos Fundos Europeus), held in December at Alfândega do Porto. The government and the European Commission also attended the event.
The European Funds Showcase highlighted projects and investments funded by Portugal 2020. Among the more than 70,000 projects supported, FINIMPACT, developed by CEGEA, was one of the 50 selected for presentation at the event.
FINIMPACT aims to create innovative methodologies for evaluating public policies to support business financing. Vasco Rodrigues, director of CEGEA, led the project in collaboration with Paulo Alves, vice-dean of Católica Porto Business School, Conceição Silva, associate dean for Research and Sustainability, and Ricardo Ribeiro, coordinator of the Research Centre in Management and Economics.
According to Vasco Rodrigues, "the methods proposed by FINIMPACT are essential for assessing whether public policies have achieved their objectives. They provide a solid basis for future decisions, especially in a context where prior analysis often is limited by a lack of time and information".
Vasco Rodrigues also emphasised his pride in seeing CEGEA represent Católica Porto Business School at a nationwide event. "The Exhibition was an opportunity to reinforce the relevance of our work, highlighting the quality and impact of our projects".
Católica Porto Business School continues to demonstrate its commitment to generating practical and innovative knowledge, contributing to more effective policy decisions in line with market needs.
