Sandra Lima Coelho, PhD in Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Porto. PhD specialization in Inequalities, Culture and Territory, having developed the thesis "The FAIR TRADE IN PORTUGAL. A sociological look at the modus operandi of an alternative business model and the modus vivendi of its consumers".

Master's degree in Development and Social Inclusion, Faculty of Economics, University of Porto. Degree in Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Porto. Researcher at the Institute of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, University of Porto (ISFLUP).

Coordination Member of Cive Morum, an Investigation Center of Studies on Civic Intervention.

Member of the Board of the Platform Social Barometer, and coordinator of its dimension "Citizenship, Inequalities and Social Participation".

Researcher in several research projects at the service of ISFLUP.

Interests in research and published works in the areas of Sociology of Culture, Sociology of Education, Sociology of Social Movements and Sociology of consumption, especially alternative consumption practices (responsible consumption, sustainable consumption, Fair Trade).

Participation in several seminars and conferences about these issues. Co‑coordinator of the project "National Network for Responsible Consumption: strategies for changing consumption habits of young Portuguese".
