"Although it may seem that lobbying and influence peddling are similar practices, the main difference lies in legality. Lobbying is a recognised and legal activity, while influence peddling is a crime. The legislation does not consider lobbying to be part of this crime, allowing it to be a legitimate tool for representing private interests in the political sphere."
