Between the 8th and 12th of April, another edition of International Study Week took place, an initiative by Católica Porto Business School (CPBS) which aims to promote a short-term international experience for its Masters in Management and Marketing students.
The project results from a partnership between Católica Porto Business School, Luiss Business School (Italy) and Tilburg University (Netherlands). During this week, each school in the network organizes a week focused on a specific sector that includes workshops, masterclasses, group work, company visits, and cultural visits. As part of this activity, students from Católica Porto Business School are welcomed to one of the partner universities, and simultaneously, CPBS welcomes students from each of these institutions.
“The Wine Journey” is the program developed by Católica Porto Business School for International Study Week in partnership with Sogrape, a long-time partner of the School and one of the largest wine companies in the Iberian Peninsula. During the past week, students had the opportunity to explore the entire wine value chain through masterclasses, a visit to Quinta do Seixo in Douro, a visit to Caves Ferreira and a blind wine tasting. This experience allowed them to broaden their knowledge of the wine sector and discover the historical context of this industry and its future challenges.
According to Alexandra Leitão, Associate Dean for Global Education, “International Study Week is an enriching experience at all levels. In just one week, participants can acquire new knowledge, broaden horizons, and interact with other cultural realities.”
