As part of INSURE.hub, a new Conference on Innovation, Sustainability, and Regeneration is scheduled. INSURE.hub is an initiative by Universidade Católica Portuguesa - through the School of Biotechnology and Católica Porto Business School - and Planetiers New Generation, with João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, as co-leader.
The event is set for October 29 and 30, 2024, and the paper submission phase runs until July 29.

Wayne Visser, director of Kaleidoscope Futures, founder of CSR International, and board member of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI), is the first keynote speaker announced by the organisers of the latest INSURE.hub Conference on Innovation, Sustainability, and Regeneration.
The 4th edition of the INSURE.hub International Conference will bring together researchers and industry professionals to discuss topics related to innovation, sustainability, and regeneration. A cutting-edge programme is promised on the international scene, featuring contributions from professionals and leaders who have been directly involved in disruptive, circular, sustainable, and/or regenerative innovation processes applied in practice.
Paper submission until July 29th
The first day of the Conference will be dedicated to Academia – Academic Branch – calling for original, high-quality research or case studies on topics including (but not limited to):
- Innovation and business transformation
- Disruptive innovation
- Circular economy
- Leadership and governance for sustainability
- Sustainable business strategy
- Social entrepreneurship and responsible enterprises
- Literacy and education for sustainability
- Sustainable investment and finance
- Challenges arising from the impact of climate change
- Climate risk management
- Laws and regulations related to sustainability
- Arts and sustainability
The two best presentations will be awarded a prize of €1,000.00, based on scientific quality, innovation, and performance.
Through the Academic Branch, INSURE.hub aims to foster discussion and the sharing of scientific knowledge.
Portugal to the forefront of progressive countries within the EU?
INSURE.hub, an initiative aimed at creating an international ecosystem of transdisciplinary knowledge that promotes circular, sustainable, and regenerative business solutions powered by disruptive technologies, is the result of mobilisation by Universidade Católica in Porto, through faculties such as Católica Porto Business School and the School of Biotechnology - and Planetiers New Generation. Currently, more than 80 external entities to UCP, both national and international, have joined INSURE.hub. The initiative includes a set of activities that contribute to bringing Portugal to the forefront of progressive countries within the European Union.
