Universidade Católica Portuguesa was one of the sponsors of the QS Higher Education Summit: Europe 2025, which took place on 16 and 17 June at the Vilar Oporto Hotel in Porto.
The event featured a presentation by vice-rector Nelson Ribeiro on the 16th, entitled "Creating Citizens, Developing Skills: Universities, Technology and the Future of Democracy", as well as the participation of João Pinto, dean of Católica Porto Business School, in the panel discussion "AI and the evolving business student lifecycle". This event allowed Católica Porto Business School to strengthen its presence in the international debate on the future of higher education.
The "QS Higher Education Summit: Europe 2025" brought together leaders and representatives of higher education institutions from around the world to discuss the main challenges and opportunities facing the European university sector.
Over the two days, the programme included plenary sessions, thematic workshops and various networking opportunities, promoting the exchange of ideas, pedagogical innovation and collaboration between institutions. The aim was to prepare universities and their students for a constantly changing future, in a context marked by technological evolution and emerging social demands.
