He is also an Invited Professor for training programmes at Católica Porto Business School.

João Pinto

Dean at Católica Porto Business School, he is also Professor of Finance at Católica Porto Business School, Member of the Executive Committee of Católica Porto and Co-leader of INSURE.Hub. He holds a PhD in Business Sciences, specialising in Finance, from the University of Porto. He was a visiting scholar at the Michael F. Price College of Business - The University of Oklahoma, in the area of financial innovation. He has a "Certificate of Management Excellence" from Harvard Business School and has also attended various executive training courses in the areas of leadership, innovation, strategy and sustainable finance (Harvard Business School, London School of Economics and London Financial Studies). He is a consultant for the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the areas of financial innovation, investment project evaluation and sustainable finance.

Liliana Fernandes

PhD in Economics. Professor and researcher at Católica Porto Business School and CEGE. Teaches various subjects, including Social Economics and Development Economics. She has experience in researching and collaborating on various national and international projects related to poverty and child welfare. She also has research and consultancy experience related to the Social Economy Sector and Social Policies.

Luís Marques

Invited Assistant Professor at Católica Porto Business School since 2011.
Administrator at Rangel Invest, S.A. since 2014.
Holds a PhD in Management (2013) and an MSc in Business Sciences (2002) from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP).
Graduated in Accounting and Auditing from ISCAUA (1997).
Served as Administrator at APA – Port of Aveiro Administration (2005-2014), where he also held the position of Administrative and Financial Director (2000-2005).
Previously worked at PwC (1995-1999) and CFA, SROC (1994-1995).
Was a Guest Assistant in Corporate Finance at ISCAUA (2008-2011) and an Adjunct Professor of Strategy at IPAM (2004-2010).

Luis Rochartre

Sustainability expert with over 30 years of experience. Former Director of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD, Geneva) and Secretary-General of BCSD Portugal. Currently Chairman of Mota-Engil’s Sustainability Committee and a senior advisor for multiple global organisations, including  Planetiers New Generation. Partner & Head of Sustainability at Unobvious Solutions, industry fellow at Católica Porto Business School, and visiting professor at ISEG. Actively involved in sustainability initiatives across industries.

Nuno Martins

Nuno Martins has a PhD in Economics by the University of Cambridge, and a licenciatura in Economics by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto), where he also obtained his habilitation in History of Economic Thought. He is currently Full Professor at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa where he teaches History of Economic Thought and Social Philosophy and Ethics. He also taught at the University of Cambridge and the University of the Azores.

Manuela Pintado

She is co-leader of INSURE.Hub and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (ESB-UCP), Associate Director of the School of Biotechnology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (ESB-UCP, Porto, Portugal) and director of the CBQF (Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry - Associated State Laboratory), a research unit and Associated Laboratory of the ESB-UCP and president of the EBRI - European Bioproducts Research Institute. 

 

Paulo Borges-cpbs

Paulo A. V. Borges

Lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of the Azores, with a PhD in Animal Ecology from Imperial College (University of London, 1997). As a professor of Biology, he researches macroecology, biogeography, and the conservation of arthropods. He works with island research, using the Azores and Macaronesia as model systems.

Guest lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of the Azores in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation. He has experience supporting start-ups in technology-based incubators and sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry. He is finalising his PhD in Economic and Business Sciences at the University of the Azores. He has a degree in Biology and an MBA.

Ricardo Morais

Ricardo Morais is an Assistant Professor of Management at Católica Porto Business School and Director of Idea Puzzle. He coordinates the seminar "How to Design Your PhD" at the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) in Brussels. Holds a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Jyväskylä. His research spans Philosophy of Science, Strategic Management, and Design Thinking. He has lectured in 109 universities across 27 countries and published extensively. Rosalina Gabriel

Teresa Borges Tiago

Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of the Azores and guest lecturer at NOVA IMS. She holds a PhD in Economics and Business Sciences, specialising in Marketing. She directs the Centre for Applied Economics Studies in the Atlantic (CEEAplA) and has two master's degrees. She is involved in international projects and journals and is the author of several scientific publications.
