"This complexity is deeply challenging for those who study leadership, those who select leaders, those who vote, and those who have to judge leaders. There are situations in which self-confidence and the ability to take risks must supersede humility. When it's necessary to decide against everything and everyone. To persist against advice and recommendations. To have the moral courage to go against the current and interests, be they your own or those of your allies. In which it is morally imperative to ‘embrace’ the opponent's thesis and be fair."
