The Austrian university is the latest addition to the group of prestigious higher education institutions that give the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School (CPBS), in the words of the programme director, Luís Marques, "a strong international experience component". The Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) joins Esade (Spain) and LUISS (Italy) as another point of passage and enrichment in terms of knowledge.

"Our students will be able to spend a week at WU's executive training school in Vienna and explore topics in entrepreneurship, sustainability and strategic foresight," explains Luís Marques. The director of the Executive MBA also emphasises that the aim is to give students the chance, in addition to learning in the classroom, to visit companies related to the topics explored and to meet and interview the respective executive managers.

This is another novelty in the year when the CPBS Executive MBA programme celebrates two decades of existence and 20 editions. "We feel we have to develop the programme continuously to provide those who attend with global management contexts and challenges," explains Luís Marques. Alongside WU, students spend weeks immersed in Barcelona (Esade), in the business strategy simulation centre, and in Rome (LUISS), getting to know the fashion and luxury industry.

The Vienna University of Economics and Business is one of the best European business schools and, like CPBS, it has the so-called Triple Crown - accredited since 2007 by EQUIS, 2010 by AMBA and 2015 by AACSB. For the MBA director, "it only makes sense for CPBS to ally itself with other top schools and thus pursue its ambition of training the best managers and leaders".

The 20th edition of the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School is now open for applications and starts in October. Those interested can find more information here.
