Last December, Católica Porto Business School and novobanco formalised a partnership to develop skills through executive training and capacity-building projects, particularly in innovation and sustainability. For Luís Marques, director of the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School, "this collaboration will make it possible to further leverage the theoretical and practical knowledge of novobanco's teams, allowing them to develop professionally and enabling the organisation to differentiate itself in a highly competitive market".
The signing ceremony, which was attended, among others, by Ana Vala, head of Learning and Development, Carla Relvas, director of Learning and Development, from novobanco, and the Dean of Católica Porto Business School, João Pinto, marks the strengthening of the link between the two organisations, which goes back a long way.
João Pinto said that "cooperation for innovation and sustainability and the promotion of interconnection between the novobanco and Católica Porto Business School communities will enrich both institutions in various aspects, whether in the area of customised training and executive programmes for novobanco teams or in terms of supporting the career development of our younger students".
For Ana Vala, "this partnership with Católica Porto Business School reflects our ongoing commitment to developing our teams and promoting essential skills in strategic areas such as innovation and sustainability. We are certain that this collaboration will be an important lever for our growth in a constantly changing market, reinforcing our position as a future-oriented organisation."
João Pinto also highlighted the agreement's mutual benefit for both organisations, stressing that "this is yet another example of our institution's commitment to strengthening its historic relationship with organisations in the banking and financial sector in Portugal".
