The PLMJ auditorium in Lisbon hosted the first edition of the “Empresas: Nascer e Crescer” event last Friday (7th June), organised by EXAME magazine in partnership with Informa D&B and supported by PLMJ Advogados and Capgemini. The event, which fostered discussion and debate on how to “Grow and Prosper”, featured guests such as Cristina Rodrigues (CEO of Capgemini Portugal) and Bruno Ferreira (Managing Partner of PLMJ), and focused on awarding High-Growth Companies.
Carlos Magalhães, alumnus of the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School and co-founder and CEO of Wegho Home Portugal, S.A., took to the stage with his team to receive the Gazelle Company Award. This recognition, in the business services sector, highlights companies with less than five years of existence that, between 2019 and 2022, recorded the highest growth in number of employees and business volume. The criteria, collected and analysed by Informa D&B Portugal, ensure the distinction of the most dynamic and resilient companies, with seven companies being nominated in this first edition.
