The third annual edition of the EFMD Global (European Foundation for Management Development) workshop "Re-thinking Internationalisation" will be held this year at Católica Porto Business School. The workshop will take place on 26 and 27 June and is aimed at professionals responsible for defining and implementing the internationalisation strategy of their institutions, offering tools to navigate the new challenges of the sector.
"The evolution of internationalisation models has given rise to new ways of working that are more focused on responsibility and impact. This workshop is an essential space for us to rethink strategies in line with major global challenges and our mission to train leaders with ethical awareness and a global vision", explains Rita Ribeiro, associate dean for Global Education at Católica Porto Business School, who will also be present at the sessions. The school's dean, João Pinto, will also be present for the opening of the workshop.
The workshop invites participants to rethink and adapt their approaches to internationalisation in light of demographic changes, technological advances and an increasingly unstable global scenario.
The session will be co-facilitated by two renowned experts: Simon Mercado (Professor of Higher Education Leadership & Management, ESCP Business School) and Julie Perrin-Halot (Associate Dean for Quality, Accreditations, Strategic Planning and Sustainability, Grenoble Ecole de Management), and will feature contributions from various professionals in the sector and case studies from institutions such as ESCP, GEM, and UFP Barcelona School of Management, among others.
This EFMD workshop is part of a restricted calendar of advanced training courses for academic and institutional leaders, having already been held at top schools such as Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. EFMD is also the organisation that awards EQUIS accreditation, one of the three international distinctions that make up the "Triple Crown" status, shared by only 1% of business schools worldwide, and of which our School is a part, with EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB accreditations.
