On 23 December, Católica Porto Business School hosted the event Alumni Abroad: Sharing Experiences, a gathering marked by sharing, motivation and inspiration. The initiative brought together students and alumni to discuss the challenges and opportunities of working in international markets, as well as to learn from the personal experiences of those who have built their careers outside Portugal.

During the event, the speakers Diogo Figueiredo (Belgium), José Cavadas (Switzerland), Inês Bartilotti (Canada) and Bruno Almeida (United Kingdom) shared their professional journeys and life experiences abroad, while reflecting on their academic paths at Católica Porto Business School. Inês Bartilotti, for example, highlighted the importance of the Católica Porto Business School network in her career: “In 2020 I was working in the pharmaceutical industry and then I left. The job I had afterwards came through a contact I made during my Executive MBA.”

Their stories addressed the challenges, learning experiences and emotions of living far from their home country, as well as the experience of returning to Portugal with a renewed perspective. They showed that, no matter how far they travel, Católica Porto Business School continues to be their base and starting point.

Moderated by Marta Luiz, representative of the Católica Porto Business School Alumni, the event created genuine moments of dialogue, reflection and inspiration, helping to strengthen ties within the alumni community and to foster new international connections.

For Católica Porto Business School, initiatives such as "Alumni Abroad: Sharing Experiences" reinforce the School’s commitment to promoting an active, connected and collaborative global community.
