Alberto Castro receives Merit Medal from Porto City Council

In a ceremony organized by the Porto City Council on July 9th, Municipal Medals were awarded to various personalities and entities, including Alberto Castro, an Invited Full Professor at Católica Porto Business School.

Alberto Castro has been an influential figure in the city due to his various roles and functions. At Católica Porto Business School, he was the first director from 1991 to 2000, the Scientific Coordinator of the International MBA from 2011 to 2018, and is currently a non-executive director of the Center for Management Studies and Applied Economics (CEGEA) and an Invited Full Professor.

Beyond his pivotal role at Católica Porto Business School, Alberto Castro is also a Non-Executive Director of Mystic Invest, Chairman of the Fiscal Councils of Mota-Engil S.A. and Super Bock Group, Chairman of the Fiscal Council of the Portuguese Red Cross from 2013 to 2018, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Development Finance Institution from 2013 to 2018.

Municipal medals are awarded to notable personalities for their merits or civic achievements, for the performance of their duties and missions. Alberto Castro was honored alongside 36 other personalities from various sectors of Porto society.
