CAtólica SOlidária – CASO is the volunteering branch of Católica Porto, founded in 2002. The volunteers are mainly students, but also include teachers, staff, and alumni of the University. Since 2008, CASO has been part of the UDIP - Unit for the Integral Development of the Person.
With a team of “responsible” students, carefully selected to support their respective group of volunteers, CASO promotes quality volunteering that can be undertaken regularly (across 8 SER+ areas: Environment; Shelter; Culture; Special; Example; Professional; Wisdom; Life) and/or occasionally.
CASO thus promotes volunteering as an “educational brand that transforms lives”, strengthening the bonds between Católica Porto and the surrounding society.
