On 24 July, the habilitation examinations in Finance of Professor João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, will take place according to the following programme:

Venue: KPMG Room, Américo Amorim Building (EAA 003)

11:00 am – Assessment of the candidate's academic and scientific curriculum by Professor Clara Patrícia Costa Raposo, Full Professor at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics & Management, University of Lisbon, and Professor Nuno Miguel Ornelas Martins, Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management/Católica Porto Business School, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

The report on the syllabus, content and theoretical and practical teaching methods of the course unit Valuation will be assessed by Professor Gilberto Ramos Loureiro, Full Professor at the School of Economics, Management and Political Science, University of Minho, and Professor Ricardo Landeiro de Sousa Gonçalves, Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management/Católica Porto Business School, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

The assessment and discussion of the curriculum and the report will last no longer than two hours.

3:00 pm – Habilitation lecture – “The Cost of Capital in Valuing Companies” – delivered by the candidate and critically assessed by Professor Miguel Almeida Ferreira, Full Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics, NOVA University Lisbon.

The lecture will last 60 minutes, followed by a discussion of up to the same duration.

The examinations are open to the public, and all those wishing to attend are welcome.
