An Economics alumnus (class of 2024), Ivan Shah was recently awarded the Professor Jacinto Nunes Prize by the Banco de Portugal. He is currently an Assurance Audit Associate at PwC Luxembourg. As part of our feature on Católica Porto Business School alumni, we wanted to get to know Ivan a little better:
Most exciting professional challenge: Joining my first job in auditing at PwC was a great challenge. Entering a highly demanding and international environment, where colleagues and clients come from all over the world, requires constant adaptation and growth.
How did Católica Porto Business School help you on your career path: The Economics degree at Católica Porto Business School offered exceptional, unique and unrivalled knowledge. The teachers were exemplary, not only academically, but also in terms of personal support, becoming true mentors. My experiences at Católica have made me more prepared and confident to face the professional world.
An outstanding figure at our school: Professor Leonardo Costa. As well as being a good teacher, he became a friend to the students, always willing to help and inspire.
Personal curiosity: I'm a person who loves getting to know new cultures and people from different backgrounds. My goal is to live in a cosmopolitan society where diversity and the exchange of experiences are part of my daily life.
