An alumnus of the Business Management programme (class of 2009), Daniel Araújo is currently a Product Manager at OutSystems, responsible for the product evaluation experience for potential customers. As part of the Católica Porto Business School alumni signature, we wanted to get to know Daniel a little better:
Most exciting professional challenge: In 2015, I left Google in London to launch a startup, Attentive. Starting something from scratch is undoubtedly a huge challenge, but also the most exciting – creating a product from the ground up, studying a market, selling internationally, securing investment rounds, among many other challenges.
How Católica Porto Business School helped in your professional journey: The focus on practical learning and connection with businesses from the very first year. As students, it helps us understand the applicability of everything we learn academically in the real-world business environment.
Favourite book: “The Book of Disquiet” by Fernando Pessoa.
Favourite podcast: “Today in Focus” by The Guardian.
Most memorable figure at our school: Fortunately, there were many, but I would like to highlight Professor João Meneses. Since his classes, my favourite area of management has been strategy.
Personal curiosity: I have always been fascinated by the sea and have been practising scuba diving for several years.
