PhD in Economics, specialising in Public Economics, from the Faculty of Economics of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Degree and Master in Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Porto. Has research interests in Political Economy and Public Economy. She is an Associate Professor at Católica Porto Business School (CPBS), where she lectured on Macroeconomics and Geopolitics, among others.
Communications at several international conferences, namely at conferences organised by the European Economic Association, the UK Political Studies Association and the Portuguese Economic Journal, among others.
Member of the AICEP’s Board between January 2021 and December 2022.
She was Head of the Master's in Business Economics until September 2013, and from 2013 to 2020, Deputy Head of the Master and faculty management programmes at the CPBS. She has been a member of the Institute of Public Policy’s Scientific and Strategic Council since 2015. From 2015 to 2020, she was a member of EDPR’s Board of Directors, and from 2017 to 2020, she was a member of this institution’s Audit Control and Related Party Transactions Committee. In 2020, she was Chair of Unilabs Portugal’s Audit Board. From 2021 to 2022, she was Portugal's Deputy Commissioner-General at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Since January 2023, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of Banco de Portugal.
