Following the recent changes to the land law in Parliament, Agência Lusa consulted experts who expressed doubts about the impact of these measures on reducing prices.
Leonardo Costa, professor and director of the Economics Department at Católica Porto Business School, emphasised that the effect of the new legislation will differ from region to region. "As is customary in the Portuguese central state, it approaches the country as a homogeneous whole, which it is not", he said.
