Founded in 2003, the Research Centre in Management and Economics (CEGE) has become one of the academic research pillars at Católica Porto Business School. Over the past two decades, CEGE has established itself as a centre of excellence, combining academic rigour with impactful insights into management and economics. Specialising in three key research areas—Markets and Policy, Service Management and Performance, and Ethics and Sustainability—CEGE continues to push the boundaries of knowledge and its application.

CEGE's scientific coordinator, Božidar Vlačić, emphasised the Centre's ongoing mission: “At CEGE, we aim to turn fundamental research into actionable insights that benefit both society and the economy. Our partnerships, both national and international, allow us to drive impactful changes in the academic and business landscapes”.

CEGE is part of Católica Porto Business School, one of the elite 1% of business schools globally to hold the "Triple Crown" accreditation from EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB and one of the Top 100 European Business Schools by the Financial Times "European Business School Rankings 2024". Looking ahead, CEGE remains dedicated to advancing knowledge, supporting innovative solutions, and fostering a fruitful dialogue with both academic and professional communities.
