The new governing bodies of the Federação Académica do Porto are now known. Francisco Porto Fernandes has been re-elected president of the FAP and brings with him a new team. Bruno Duarte, a Católica Porto Business School student president of our school's Student Association, joins the Supervisory Board as rapporteur. Maria Teresa Santos, a student at the Faculty of Law - Porto School of the Universidade Católica, retains her position from the previous term as treasurer.

The new governing bodies of the Federação Académica do Porto took office on 12 December at a ceremony held at Real Companhia Velha. At the table of honour were Isabel Braga da Cruz, pro-rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Joana Carvalho, vice-rector of Universidade do Porto, Paulo Pereira, president of Politécnico do Porto, Armando Jorge Carvalho, president of Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique, and Catarina Araújo, Porto City Council councillor.

Isabel Braga da Cruz, pro-rector of UCP, said during her speech at the FAP inauguration ceremony, "May your dedication and commitment be a source of inspiration for all students at the Porto Academy. You must continue to work with the same commitment and dedication as always and count on the Universidade Católica's support. Mine too". For the FAP, Isabel Braga da Cruz wants it to "continue to be an active and proactive voice in the defence of students' interests, ensuring that their needs and concerns are heard and addressed".

Numerous challenges are expected for 2025: "FAP's work will continue to focus on reducing inequalities of opportunity, combating climate change and defending human rights. At the top of the agenda is the revision of the Legal Framework for Higher Education Institutions to give institutions back the example of democracy". For the president of the FAP, "in the same spirit of mission and with the same will and determination, the FAP will continue to be subjugated to a single interest: that of the students".
