Católica Porto Business School was considered one of the Top 100 European Business Schools by the Financial Times “European Business School Rankings – 2024”. This classification adds to the triple international accreditation from EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System, from the European Foundation for Management Development), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), reinforcing the excellent positioning of the business school in terms of teaching, research and impact on society.

The Financial Times European Business School Ranking is an initiative of the Financial Times (FT), a British publishing group, which annually highlights the best business schools in Europe. This ranking results from a combined assessment of several factors related to the programs' quality, the salary and career progression of graduates, the gender diversity of the teaching staff, and research and its impact, among others.

This annual ranking is highly recognised, highlighting the 100 best business schools in Europe among thousands of existing schools recognised, and therefore serving as a relevant reference guide for students and professionals looking for high-quality management programs.

Paulo Alves, vice-dean responsible for Quality and Accreditations at Católica Porto Business School, highlights, “Some of the factors that contributed to us being in this ranking were the high salary progression of our graduates – for example, students who completed their master's degree in management recorded an 86% salary increase in the years following completion. There is also another aspect with a very positive evaluation, which is the gender balance of our teaching staff.”

João Pinto, director of Católica Porto Business School, says, “The inclusion of Católica Porto Business School in this prestigious ranking is recognition of all the work we have been doing in strengthening the training offer and international executive courses, but also in the quality of partnerships that allow us to leverage the excellence of our Faculty”, adding “we have also made a big commitment to attracting talent and the interconnection between teaching, research and innovation.”

Of particular note is the ranking of some of the leading international partners of Católica Porto Business School, namely in the scope of Masters (Double Degrees), the Executive MBA and Executive Training Programs, such as Esade (Spain); Neoma and Kedge (France); the WU - Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria); to Luiss (Rome); to Aston and Lancaster (United Kingdom). Católica Porto Business School, in addition to being part of the Top100 of the Financial Times European Business School Rankings – 2024, is part of a restricted group of around 1% of business schools around the world with triple international accreditation EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB. This “Triple Crown” status places Católica Porto Business School on a level of excellence, being the only school to hold this title in the country's north and one of only four in Portugal.
