Yesterday, on the 22nd of May, Católica Porto Business School hosted the customary Executive Education Diploma Ceremony. With around 80 finalists in attendance, the event took place in the gardens of the Paraíso Building, providing another opportunity for networking and socialising among students, staff, and faculty. Diplomas were awarded to students from the Postgraduate Programmes in Healthcare Management and Fashion Management, the General Management Course, and the Intensive Management Programme.
The opening speech was delivered by João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School. “Since our inception, we have been leaders in issues related to ethics, social responsibility and sustainability, governance, and responsible leadership, which are crucial factors for the success and reputation of organisations. Knowing that we are all leaders, it is up to us to use our technical skills, which you have undoubtedly acquired during your time here, to manage our (and your) organisations well. But, at the same time, we must manage with heart, recognising the importance of compassion and the ability to put ourselves in others' shoes,” he emphasised to the audience.
Next, the floor was given to the directors of the various programmes - Nuno Malheiro (Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Fashion Management), Ricardo Morais (Director of the Intensive Management Programme), and Nuno Côrte-Real (Director of the General Management Course) - who congratulated the students, reminisced on the challenges and successes encountered during the courses, and reinforced the contribution of Católica Porto Business School to their professional careers.
Applications are now open for executive education programmes for the second semester of 2024 in areas such as Management, Ethics and Sustainability, Finance and Taxation, Marketing and Sales, and Sectoral Programmes. The complete list of programmes can be viewed here.
