Católica Porto Business School is celebrating Global Ethics Day. This year, the motto is "Thinking with and about Ethics: Generational Diversity".
This annual celebration aims to convene individuals, schools, companies, governments, non-profit organisations, among others, with the certainty that, together, we can raise awareness of ethics and work to address the most critical issues facing society.
It is also with this conviction that the Católica Porto Business School Ethics Forum promotes business ethics through the exchange of experiences, joint reflection and the creation and sharing of knowledge. This is, therefore, a space for regular reflection on issues that raise not only ethical questions, but also the creation of knowledge.
To this end, each year we promote a study dedicated to a topic of particular relevance to the national context. In 2022, we focused on Hybrid Labour; in 2023 on Ethics and Generational Diversity at Work. In 2024, we took part in the IBE's triennial international Ethics at Work study, including Portugal in 2018 and 2021, the results of which will be presented in November.
The results of the 2023 annual work were shared in open access on Global Ethics Day, 16 October 2024, during the webinar "Thinking with and about Ethics: Generational Diversity".

We are sharing the elements of the study "Ethics and Generational Diversity at Work" in an open format. We believe that reflecting with and on ethics and Generational Diversity using these tools - the survey, collective book and documentary - will allow workplaces to emerge that contribute to a life with more human meaning. They will allow us to think from a more normative and procedural approach - THINKING ABOUT ETHICS - and, at the same time, integrate the thickness of the situations experienced by each of those involved in that same reflective space - THINKING WITH ETHICS.
