Católica Porto Business School highlights, once again, the Global Ethics Day. This year, the motto is "Ethics Empowered: using the power of ethics to build a better world".
This annual celebration aims to convene individuals, schools, businesses, governments, non-profits, and others in the knowledge that together, we can raise awareness of ethics and work to address the most critical issues facing society.
It is also with this conviction that, at the Católica Porto Business School Ethics Forum, we promote business ethics through the exchange of experiences, joint reflection and the creation and sharing of knowledge. Therefore, this is a space for regular reflection on issues that raise ethical questions and knowledge creation. To this end, we annually promote a study on a topic of particular relevance to the national context. 2022, we focus on Hybrid Work; In 2023, we address Generational Diversity at Work. The first results of this latest study were presented yesterday during the Ethics Forum's Annual Conference. It was a session rich in reflections and sharing, with several special guests and interventions.
Today, to promote the power of ethics in building a better world, we share, in an open format, the three elements of the 2022 “Ethics and Hybrid Work” study, which will allow us to think about this topic from a more normative approach, and simultaneously, integrate the thickness of the situations experienced by each involved in that reflective space.
You can access each element by clicking below (only available in portuguese)
relatório DO INQUÉRITO "ÉTICA E TRABALHO HÍBRIDO: NO RESCALDO DA PANDEMIA"
LIVRO COLETIVO “ÉTICA E TRABALHO HÍBRIDO: PROXIMIDADES E DISTÂNCIAS”
DOCUMENTÁRIO "O MELHOR DE DOIS MUNDOS?"
It is, therefore, a set of tools that different organisations can use whenever they want to promote safe spaces for ethical reflection on hybrid work.
On this day, and as a way of celebrating the importance of Ethics, we also leave an invitation to action:
"Share the Collective Book "Ethics and Hybrid Work: Proximities and Distances” with your colleagues and schedule a reflection and debate session on Hybrid Work, after joint viewing for 30 minutes, of the documentary The Best of Two Worlds?” (if you need us, contact us).
Participate in the next Collective Book on Generational Diversity at Work by sending us narratives (which can be written individually or as a team) by January 15th. The narratives will be analysed by a jury for inclusion in the book, and the author(s) of the best narrative will be awarded a prize, a grant of 90% of the registration fee for one of the executive courses on Ethics and Compliance at Católica Porto Business School ."
