Since 1993, he was an administrator of the Champalimaud Group Banks, then an administrator of the Santander Group in Portugal, and in 2010 he was vice-president of Millenniumbcp. From 2016 until April 2022, he was CEO of Novobanco. He was also CEO of CP, Estradas de Portugal and Infraestruturas de Portugal. Since February 2023, he has been an Industry Fellow at Católica Porto Business School with duties coordinating the Banking and Business Financing area.
Gonçalo Faria holds a Ph.D. from the University of Porto (2010). He is an Associate Professor of Finance at Católica Porto Business School and at the School of Economics and Finance in Queen Mary University of London. His research has been published in peer review journals and awarded with research grants from the IFSID and the Global Risk Institute, from BNP Paribas Hedge Fund Centre at SMU, from INQUIRE Europe and from Netspar at Tilburg University. Gonçalo consults for Asset Management companies, Multi‑Family Offices and Private Equity Funds. In the past, was Managing Partner of a Hedge Fund, equity analyst and proprietary trader at Bank BPI and auditor at Arthur Andersen.
Professor, researcher and consultant in Organisational Ethics and Sustainability at Católica Porto Business School since 2002, where she coordinates the Ethics Forum. She holds a PhD in Management and a degree in Economics, with further specialisation in Bioethics and advanced training in corporate responsibility, management and human resources. She was a senior manager at Deloitte and has held leadership roles in technology companies.

He holds a PhD in Business Sciences, specialising in Finance, from the University of Porto. He was a visiting scholar at the Michael F. Price College of Business - The University of Oklahoma, in the area of financial innovation. He has a "Certificate of Management Excellence" from Harvard Business School and has also attended various executive training courses in the areas of leadership, innovation, strategy and sustainable finance (Harvard Business School, London School of Economics and London Financial Studies). He is a consultant for the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the areas of financial innovation, investment project evaluation and sustainable finance.
