Program Description

In an increasingly unpredictable world, where global events such as pandemics and wars constantly push us out of our comfort zones, force us to adapt, and accept uncertainty as part of daily life, finding truly impactful ways to grow in executive and leadership roles becomes essential. It is with this purpose that we present this transformative executive programme.

At Católica Porto Business School, we believe that learning experiences outside the classroom, in challenging and inspiring real-world environments, can be profoundly powerful. With this philosophy in mind, we designed a programme that combines theoretical and practical knowledge, placing participants in scenarios that demand resilience, risk management, and adaptability. These scenarios test leadership and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to deal with success and failure.

This programme takes participants to the summit of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, one of the legendary Seven Summits. The climb is not just a physical journey—it is an exercise in leadership, strategic planning, resilience, and perseverance. Every step will require preparation, goal orientation, and the ability to manage expectations and frustrations—key elements for any leader today.

The journey begins in the classroom, exploring crucial topics such as Resilience in Uncertain Environments, Risk Management, Goal Setting and Strategy, Managing Expectations, and Adaptive Leadership. During the climb, participants will face real challenges, applying classroom tools in high-pressure situations with limited resources. In this environment, far from comfort and security, participants will discover what it takes to reach the top—both on the mountain and in life.

This experience is not just about reaching the summit. It’s about redefining boundaries, strengthening leadership skills, and finding purpose from a new perspective. It’s an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, face real challenges, and grow in ways that will impact not only your career but also your vision of yourself and the world.

Join us on this disruptive and transformative adventure.

Let’s reach the summit together!
