Business Speed Dating on the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School

Wednesday, December 11, 2024 - 16:53

The Business Plan course, part of the Executive MBA syllabus, organised a Business Speed Dating activity. The students, divided into groups, could present their business cases to six business mentors in short sessions. One of the initiative’s aims was to give them direct and personalised feedback on the projects they have been developing in health, well-being, food and fashion sectors.

For the subject’s coordinators and professors at Católica Porto Business School, Susana Costa e Silva and Vitor Verdelho, "the central aim of the Business Plan subject is to apply, in a practical way, the knowledge acquired throughout the various MBA subjects, consolidating it in the development of business projects".

This year’s guest mentors included Jorge Condesso (Ancor Capital Partners), Luís Cordeiro (Bydas, 3D Click), Pedro Lopes (Ambitious), Ricardo Alves (Farmácia Mercado Castêlo, Ideal NACS), Ricardo Lacerda (SustainUtility and Nutripar - Food Knowledge) and Sérgio Loureiro (IncBio - Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing). The mentors emphasised the potential and innovation of the ideas presented by the groups.

After two decades of existence, the Executive MBA has already started enrolling for the 21st edition, which will begin in October 2025. Find out more about the study programme here.
