Bio

Graduated in Economics, holds a Master's degree in Finance, and a Ph.D. in Management with a specialisation in Finance from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Porto. Her doctoral thesis, titled “Equity Crowdfunding: An Alternative Way of Startup Financing,” was awarded the Professor Manuel de Oliveira Marques Prize for the best doctoral thesis in Corporate Finance.

In addition to her role as a Finance lecturer, she is a business consultant in the areas of investment project analysis, management control, and business valuation.

Her research interests are focused on corporate finance, particularly on the topics of crowdfunding and capital structure.
