Three students from Católica Porto Business School, José Dias, Francisca Carvalho and Catarina Reis, were distinguished by Lancaster University under its Money, Banking and Finance programme and International Business & Strategy programme.

José Dias was the best student in the Money, Banking and Finance Master's programme for the academic year 2021/2022. This distinction was accompanied by a letter signed by the Head of the Economics Department, as well as a symbolic monetary prize. In turn, Francisca Carvalho received the award for best dissertation and a scholarship to do a PhD in Lancaster. Catarina Reis was considered the best student in the International Business & Strategy programme.

Francisca highlights that "the completion of the Double Degree in Money, Banking and Finance helped me to sediment and strengthen my knowledge previously acquired in the Master of Finance. As well as contributing to my future international career".

The student Catarina Reis concluded that this was an "enriching experience that allowed me to develop both soft and hard skills, and provided me with a practical insight that will, surely, be advantageous in the persecution of my professional career. Further, it gave me the cultural versatility needed to operate successfully in different contexts".

José Dias considers this a milestone, adding that "this distinction not only rewards my work over the past academic year but also reaffirms the Portuguese teaching quality - and the quality of Católica Porto Business School - in the training of qualified professionals with soft skills". These distinctions are proof of the excellence of teaching at CPBS and the importance of carrying out a double degree programme, which adds an international dimension to the academic career, enhancing students' curriculum and strengthening their professional future.

It is now worth noting that Católica Porto Business School currently has four double degree programmes available to its students: Lancaster University, Aston Business School, Corvinus University and NEOMA Business School.
