Católica Porto Business School has just had its EQUIS accreditation revalidated for another five years - the maximum period awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This is the first time that the School has achieved this distinction for the maximum period, a milestone that reinforces the recognition of its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, positive impact and quality in all its areas of activity. 

EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) accreditation is considered one of the most prestigious quality seals for management schools worldwide. Reaccreditation for five years is only awarded to schools that meet all EQUIS quality standards, demonstrating excellence and solid performance in all areas.

This international recognition is fully in line with our ambition: to be a leading school in training responsible leaders with a global vision. This process not only validates our strategy but also integrates us into an international community of excellence, learning and sharing with the best management schools in the world," explains João Pinto, dean of Católica Porto Business School. 

Throughout the demanding evaluation process, the EQUIS panel highlighted Católica Porto Business School's commitment to creating a positive impact on the community and its mission to be a leading European school - recognised for its strong links to society and organisations, for producing relevant research in the areas of Management and Economics, and for the comprehensive training of its students, from undergraduate programmes to executive training. 

For the school's vice dean, Paulo Alves, "obtaining this reaccreditation required us to show, with rigour and transparency, why we continue to deserve this seal of excellence. The panel's feedback was also a learning experience, validating our path, but above all challenging us to continue raising the bar in all areas. We are proud to remain the only school in northern Portugal with this accreditation, to which we add AMBA and AACSB, which distinguishes us as a Triple Crown school." 

This five-year renewal reinforces Católica Porto Business School's position among the global elite of business schools and increases its responsibility to continue offering transformative and purposeful education, aligned with the challenges of today's world.
