Starting next academic year, Católica Porto Business School will offer two new international double degree programmes for students of the Bachelor in Management, in partnership with two prestigious institutions: WU Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria) and KEDGE Business School (France).
These new programmes allow Management students to obtain two degrees in just three years – one from Católica Porto Business School and another from the partner university – while strengthening their academic, cultural and professional skills in a global context.
“These new programmes reflect Católica Porto Business School’s strategy to enhance its international scope and provide transformative academic experiences to its students through partnerships with top-tier institutions,” highlights the Dean of Católica Porto Business School, João Pinto.
International learning with a focus on employability
Among the main benefits for students is the opportunity to strengthen their connection to the business world and expand career prospects, particularly in multinational companies. In the case of the partnership with KEDGE Business School, students have the option to complete an international internship, while at WU they will have access to a wide range of specialisations and elective courses on a modern campus and within an international learning environment.
Students currently in the first year of the Bachelorin Management will already be able to apply for this model. According to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programmes at Católica Porto Business School, Helena Correia, this initiative represents another step towards preparing future managers for a global market: “Through this international double degree in Management with a partner university, our students will access distinctive learning contexts that further enhance their employability and their ability to operate in multicultural and complex environments.” She also recalls that Católica Porto Business School was a pioneer, alongside the Porto School of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in launching the double degree in Law and Management.
A natural step in internationalisation
According to the Associate Dean for Global Education, Rita Ribeiro, “this is a natural step for a School that already has recognised experience with its Master’s double degrees. For Católica Porto Business School, these new partnerships represent a strategic step towards strengthening its international reputation and consolidating global academic cooperation, confirming the recognition of its teaching quality by leading institutions worldwide.”
Partners of excellence
The Vienna University of Economics and Business is one of Europe’s leading business schools, holding the prestigious “triple crown” accreditations (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA), as does Católica Porto Business School – a distinction earned by only a very limited number of schools worldwide. The collaboration between Católica Porto Business School and WU includes student and faculty mobility programmes as well as joint short-term initiatives (such as Summer Schools), providing a global and interdisciplinary learning experience.
KEDGE Business School (France), also “triple crown” accredited, is a benchmark institution for management education in France, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and employability. The partnership with Católica Porto Business School already includes mobility and Double Degree programmes at the Master’s level, now extended to the Bachelor in Management, reinforcing the commitment of both institutions to global, future-oriented education.
A global experience in Porto
The new programmes stand out for the international reputation of the partner universities, the inclusion of international internships, and an intensive, multicultural academic experience that fosters intercultural competence and expands global networks.
Católica Porto Business School’s Double Degree programmes operate in both directions: in addition to sending students to complete their final year at partner universities, the School will also welcome WU and KEDGE students to its Porto campus. This dynamic creates a multicultural academic environment, encourages the exchange of experiences and strengthens the global network of contacts, enriching both the academic and professional journeys of all students involved.
