Católica Porto Business School hosts Executive Breakfast of the Digital Transformation course

Thursday, October 26, 2023 - 10:21

Scheduled to start in November, the Digital Transformation Executive Course is a strong commitment by Católica Porto Business School (CPBS) to the processes of empowering Portuguese companies and their transition to digital. The training programme is led by the managing partner of 40plus60, Liliana Pina, and Luís Marques, lecturer at CPBS and director of the Executive MBA.

To this end, the School hosted an executive breakfast, followed by a debate attended by three guests: the CEO of TMG, Manuel Gonçalves, the CEO of Via Verde and board member of the BRISA Group, Eduardo Ramos, and the CEO of Mota-Engil-Global, Sérgio Padilha.

"Being able to listen to experienced managers share their experience was an excellent learning opportunity," Luís Marques began, emphasising that "this is also the focus of this new CPBS course: learning, transforming and managing change - today, digital transformations are critical for keeping up with the market and are opportunities for business disruption."

For Liliana Pina, the initiative was a success. "It's necessary to look at the business landscape and realise that it's undergoing a very marked process of change," explained the course director. "We increasingly need to understand how to align strategy and digital in the business ecosystem and realise that technology should be a means and not the main focus of digital transformation."

Asked about the presence of names from large national companies on the panel, Liliana Pina said that "it's the reason for creating this course at a business school with as much impact as CPBS and it's proof that, in fact, this issue is more relevant than ever on the national scene".
