Católica Porto Business School has joined the initiative of the Banco de Portugal and the CFA Society Portugal, opening its doors to its students and community for the event "O meu futuro financeiro" on 9 October.

The session, to be held at Católica Porto Business School, aims to provide students with essential tools to ensure their financial literacy. The event will cover topics such as sustainable finance, the safe use of digital financial services, and the use of credit and its impact on the budget. Among the experts present will be João Pinto, dean of Católica Porto Business School, Francisca Guedes de Oliveira, member of the Board of Directors of Banco de Portugal and lecturer at Católica Porto Business School, and Marcos Soares Ribeiro, CEO of the CFA Society Portugal.

The event will also include a presentation session of the Banco de Portugal and CFA Society Portugal competition "O meu futuro financeiro" to interested students. The competition challenges participants to present innovative solutions to a case study focused on financial literacy topics such as family budgeting, savings, credit and the use of digital financial services.

The national phase will take place in March 2025, during Financial Literacy Week and Global Money Week 2025, where the finalist teams will present the conclusions of their case study to the jury. The three best teams will receive cash prizes: €1,000 for first place, €500 for second and €300 for third.
