Católica Porto Business School and EY develop an innovative study in Portugal

A strategic partnership between the Consulting Unit in Management and Applied Economics (CEGEA) of Católica Porto Business School (CPBS), APED and the consultancy firm EY has developed a pioneering study on omnichannel commerce in Portugal - Omnichannel Maturity Index 2022. The omnichannel business strategy offers a unique shopping experience in all physical, mobile, and online channels.

With academic support from Professor Susana Costa e Silva and Miriam Salomão, the study aimed to explore, analyze and systematize the Portuguese state-of-the-art omnichannel retail, resulting in the OmniChannel Maturity Index. This innovative tool allows quick and accurate assessment of the omnichannel business's maturity degree.

Through the OmniChannel Maturity Index, companies can evaluate their omnichannel skill in several key dimensions and direct their efforts to refine specific operations points, improving the customer journey and strengthening their competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market.

Therefore, this study represents a significant milestone in Portuguese omnichannel commerce. It expects to stimulate growth and innovation, enabling companies to seek more efficient solutions to meet modern customers' expectations.
