This course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts of ontology (the study of being), epistemology (the study of knowledge), axiology (the study of values), and methodology (the study of research). 

It also aims at developing a critical understanding of how the philosophical concepts and debates discussed underpin different research paradigms in management. 

This course also aims to enable students to reflect on their own philosophical positioning as researchers, shaping how they approach their doctoral research. 

Finally, it aims to help students improve the coherence of a research proposal, article, or thesis in light of Philosophy.
