With the start of the new academic year, it is essential that new students at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto request the UCP/CGD Student Card. This document is essential for access to services and advantages within the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and also off campus.
How do I request the card?
Students should request their card at the Caixa Geral de Depósitos stands in the Atrium of the Central Building between 9 and 20 September, from 9 am to 5 pm. The card is valid for three years and will be automatically renewed for as long as you are a student at Católica.
If you request the card with a bank account, you will receive it immediately.
If you don't choose this option, the card should be collected from the Copy Centre around 3 weeks after you request it.
What are the advantages of the card?
The UCP/CGD Student Card (with or without a bank component) is an identification document as a Católica student and guarantees identification in the Library if you are studying on campus out of hours, access to the car park (by purchasing access at the Copy Center) and use of the University's printers. This card also allows access to various benefits at cinemas, museums and others. The banking side of the UCP/CGD card has a free annual fee and many other advantages and allows access to discounts with partners.
You can also request it online using the digital mobile key. https://caixaonboarding.cgd.pt/
