Luís Marques to ECO: “Young people will return to the country with great value to create within ten years” says the Director of the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School
The director of the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School, “Luís Marques, is an optimist. Amidst discussions about the emigration of highly qualified young people, the university professor and director of the Executive MBA at Católica Porto Business School predicts that this talent will return to Portugal within ten years to create projects that will significantly contribute to the national economy.
Portugal has the capacity to retain the best. For example, if we look at listed companies, Portuguese managers are satisfied with their material needs. Many managers in Portugal are highly motivated by their projects. Looking to the future, I believe that this entire generation of talented young people who have left Portugal will return to the country for professional projects for which they will have great aptitude, experience, and value to create. This phenomenon will occur in the next ten years. When it happens, Portugal will benefit from improved management quality.”
