Francisca Guedes de Oliveira, Administrator at the Bank of Portugal in the behavioural area and professor at Católica Porto Business School, must be attentive to the relationship between banks and customers.

In an interview with Expresso, the university professor emphasizes that the exemption from the early repayment commission on housing loans “clearly fostered competition” and that this charge should continue without being charged. Furthermore, she reveals that inspections are underway to understand “how account closures are being carried out”, as this concerns the Bank of Portugal. An interest rate comparator on bank deposits has also been launched in the pipeline.
