After Lisbon and Coimbra, Conceição Soares, author of the book “Ethics in Business: An Ontological Perspective”, presented her most recent work at Católica Porto Business School, where she teaches, on November 22nd, at 6:30 pm.
Jorge Teixeira da Cunha, professor at the Faculty of Theology of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, opened the session and highlighted the various topics covered by the author throughout the book.
During the presentation, Conceição Soares highlighted that “it is not enough for ethics in the company to have normative requirements or to be crystallized in codes of ethics,” adding that “it is necessary to be able to turn the company into a lively work environment in which the lives of each those who work in it are enriched and intensified through the appreciation of their uniqueness, through sharing and conviviality that always generate more life and a truly sustainable life.”
The event was attended by more than 50 academics, researchers and businesspeople and was marked by debate and sharing of experiences, knowledge and opinions between the author and the public.
