Católica Porto Business School’s programmes remain included in the international accreditation by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), recently renewed by Universidade Católica Portuguesa. It is one of the most prestigious accreditations for business schools, only granted to about 6% of the institutions in this scientific area, worldwide.

The School renews its position globally, being part of a select group of less than 1.5% of business schools accredited by EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System, by the European Foundation for Management Development), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and AACSB.

AACSB was founded in 1916 and is the longest-standing agency of specialised accreditation for business schools, connecting educators, students and companies to achieve a common goal: creating the next generation of great leaders. The accreditation process is based on a rigorous international assessment to ensure its mission of promoting engagement, accelerating innovation and expanding the impact of Management education.

According to Católica Porto Business School’s Dean, Rui Soucasaux Sousa, "this recognition independently certifies the School’s excellence in research, teaching and impact on society. The peer-review team highlighted several areas of excellence, including: the strategic focus on research; a value-based teaching model strongly recognised by employers; the student's learning experience; and the strong commitment of companies and stakeholders towards the School."

The AACSB assessment also covered Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, also recognised by this international agency. In Portugal, Católica Porto Business School and Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics are two of the only three schools whose programmes are triple accredited.
