Almost all of us know successful and famous leaders who fell from their pedestals and put their organisations in a critical situation. Many business scandals in Portugal and worldwide have resulted from precisely this phenomenon.
What can leaders do to escape these “derailments”? What mechanisms can organisations use to create antidotes to these occurrences? What are the dangers of celebrity? Why can prolonged success be the enemy of success?
Based on research and practical cases, LEAD.Lab, the leadership knowledge centre at Católica Porto Business School, is organising this session, which will seek to answer these questions and point out valuable recommendations for leaders and followers. The seminar will have, as a special guest, Luís Portela, President of the Bial Foundation.
