Evento Alumni: "2nd careers: challenges and opportunities"

Saturday , 29 de March 2025 - 10:00

The Alumni Office in Porto, together with the various alumni communities (Católica Porto Business School, School of Nursing and Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, School of Arts, and Faculty of Theology in Porto) and the different Alumni Associations (Biotechnology, Law, and the School of Education and Psychology ), is organising an event aimed at reflecting on, debating, and exploring real-life cases of "2nd careers: challenges and opportunities".

This is a reality that many people face or may come to face. Professional and organisational changes, new discoveries, or health-related challenges – whether personal or affecting a dependent – can lead to the need to rethink and reorient careers, requiring personal, family, educational, lifestyle, and networking adaptations. These transitions demand flexibility and adaptability, which can present not only challenges but also opportunities.

We will begin by hearing from Professor Vincenzo Bassi, President of the Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe, joining us from Rome to introduce the topic.

Following this, there will be a roundtable discussion featuring first-hand testimonials and guidance on second career solutions.
